Mixing Colors

What you need:

Model Magic® basic colors red, white, yellow, blue.

red

blue

yellow

+ yellow = orange

+ blue = purple

+ yellow = green

+ red = purple

 + red = orange

+ blue = green

Use white to lighten colors.

Mix orange and green to get a brown shade.

Mix purple with pink (white+red) for an orchid shade.

Experiment!

What you do:

Knead the colors with your fingers until completely blended.

Mottling colors

What you do:

Instead of mixing, stop after twisting colors around a bit for a mottled look.

Storing excess

What you do:

To store place each color in a sandwich baggie and squeeze air out. I sometimes mist my Model Magic® before storing. Put the small baggies in a larger plastic bag and close with a twist-tie. The label directions say to use within three days of opening original package for best results.

Cutting Model Magic®

You can cut Model Magic® the same as thick paper. You do not need sharp scissors. Even if you are cutting columns, it still seems like thick paper, and is easy to cut.

(Imagine) and PLAY!
